How I work with young adults

Therapy here is a collaboration. You know yourself better than I do. I bring the training, the perspective, and the experience. Together, we figure out what's going on and what to do about it.

This might sound familiar

You're struggling to keep up. Missing deadlines, avoiding things you know you need to do, falling behind while everyone around you seems to manage fine. You keep telling yourself you'll get it together, and then you find yourself unable to.

And underneath that, you feel stuck between who you are and who everyone expects you to be. Not enough of one thing, too much of another. Tired of pretending everything's okay.

You don't need a diagnosis to reach out. You just need a starting point.

I've been where you are

I'm a fourth-generation Asian American who spent years not feeling enough of either. I know what it's like to walk into a room and adjust who you are to fit it. I lived it. And it's a big part of why I do this work.

What does it cost?

I believe in being upfront about pricing. Clearing the Fog is a private-pay practice, which means I don't bill insurance directly. I can provide superbills for out-of-network reimbursement if your plan covers it.

The first real session

We get to know each other. What brought you here, what's shaped you, where you want to go. I want the whole picture, not just what feels most urgent.

Ongoing Sessions

From there, we build. Every session is shaped around where you are. You'll start noticing shifts in the everyday moments that matter most.

What Progress Looks Like

Progress isn't linear. Sometimes things feel harder before they feel easier, especially when you start facing what you've been avoiding. That's normal.

Many young adults notice shifts within the first few months — more clarity about what they want, less reactivity, better follow through on the things that matter to them.

Questions I hear a lot

I've never been to therapy before. What should I expect?

A conversation. We talk about what brought you here, what's going on, and where you want to go. First session is about getting to know each other.

What if I don't know what's wrong?

You don't have to. Most of my clients start with "I just feel off" or "I don't know why everything feels so hard." That's more than enough to start with. We figure it out together.

I think I might have ADHD but I've never been diagnosed. Can you help?

I am an ADHD-Certified Clinical Services Provider and have specialized training in this area. We don't need a formal diagnosis to start working together. If you're struggling with things like staying organized, meeting deadlines, or keeping up with daily life, we can explore what's going on and figure out what would help.

Do you offer in-person sessions?

I'm teletherapy only, using secure video through Zoom. I can work with anyone in California, so location isn't a barrier.

How long does therapy usually take?

There's no set timeline. Some people come for a few months, some stay longer. It depends on what you're working through and what feels right. We check in along the way.
